1. The foundation of any ministry grows from your love of God and compassion for His people (cf. Matthew 22:36-40; John 14:12).
2. Ministry is associated with serving others – giving and not receiving (cf. Acts 20:32-35).
3. Ministry is given freely from one’s talents, gifts, and calling(s).
4. Ministry does not think solely of itself (cf. Philippians 2:4).
5. An opportunity to serve is not withheld because a personal need or desire is not met.
6. Your level of service or ministry is not measured by how much (or little) you receive from others.
7. Ministry is not based on size or numbers of people.
8. Ministry has its satisfaction in pleasing the Lord and knowing His will is being accomplished.
9. Ministry should touch those being served with the love and grace of the Lord.
10. The means of ministry is not to increase your stature in the eyes of man, but to increase God’s stature (glory) through your good works (cf. Matthew 5:14-16; 1 John 2:15-17).
