In 2004 we wrote Living Out of Lust, a beautiful book that engaged the very issue of sexual addictions, its devastating effects, and how we can live without the stains of sexual sins. Over the years, we’ve learned that there is a larger encompassing scope beyond the principles of Living Out of Lust.
The key message for us that struggle with sexual sin (or any sin for that matter) is the closer we draw to the Lord, the further we draw from sin and the world.
As we exist in these skins of flesh, we may face many temptations of sin, however, the closer we are to the Lord, the less ‘power’ those temptations will have upon our lives. (Jesus was tempted and was without sin – Matthew 4:1-11; Hebrews 4:15).
Living beyond lust is not only about the lustings of sexual addiction, but the lust of our eyes and flesh (1 John 2:15-17). When we hear about lust, we often direct our attention to sexual addictions, but lust is ANY type of inappropriate desire.
For each of us, whether we struggle with sexual addiction or not (whatever it is), we must draw closer to the Lord. We pray you will take the opportunity to review our updated book, Living Out of Lust and search through the contents of this website. You can use the search feature at the top of the page to search a specific topic or word.
We can live unspotted from the world, and we do that by drawing ever closer to His will and presence.
