John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God loved THE WORLD so much that He gave His ONLY begotten Son! The world Jesus refers to encompasses all people, regardless of their status, race, beliefs, or conduct. Some people believe the world refers only to certain types of people…people that look, act, and believe as they do. to think God will only save certain types of people. Everyone else is not worthy of God’s love or forgiveness and deserve an eternity in hell.
There are many movies we would like to see because they provide an outlet of entertainment and fellowship. But as you seek movies for your enjoyment, you must consider the content and message of each. Many of the movies today contain images and messages that are ungodly. Cursing, sexual messages, nudity, senseless killing, blasphemy, etc. fill the box offices looking for our hard-earned dollars.
As children of God, we must be careful of the movies we support. The movies described above do not support or provide the godly lifestyle our Father desires us to live. It only keeps us connected to the world:
Romans 12:15 – Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
When people experience a loss in their family or circle of friends, we often feel like we should say or do something, but we don’t know what. Though the situation may be awkward, we figure something is better than nothing…
Even though we may mean well, our words or actions may not be well received. We must consider the condition (and emotional state) of others instead of what we would like to do or say to them. We should want our words to be well received and planted in the good soil of their hearts.
Ask the Lord to show you how you can help them right where they are. Maybe it’s bringing them a box of Kleenex, cooking dinner for their family, giving them a ride, or buying flowers. Maybe you are with them in silence. How about watering their grass (or cutting it), picking up their kids from school, or helping with chores around the house?
Please consider the following scriptures:
Proverbs 25:20 – As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
Proverbs 25:11 – A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 – To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Psalm 139:13-16 – For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Take a look at your index fingerprint. It gives evidence that we are special creations made by the Father. We have the very imprints of His design. The breaths you take. The blinking of your eyes. The body’s ability to regenerate skin cells. The cardiovascular system.
How can any of us be a mistake when we have been created with such detail?
You are a beautiful creation of our Father. You are precious and priceless – worthy of God’s greatest gift, Jesus Christ. If you ever consider yourself as worthless or a mistake, just look at your index finger. May it serve as a reminder of God’s special fingerprint on you and your life.
