Job 4:7-9 – Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off? Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same. By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.
Eliphaz believed Job had committed some type of sin for so much to happen to him (Job 1:1-2:13). He couldn’t imagine that Job could be righteous in spite of all that have occurred.
Oftentimes the same occurs today when people associate good news or situations with God’s favor and the opposite as a punishment for sin. (God rains blessings on the just and unjust alike, Matthew 5:44-45). Without foreknowledge from the Lord, we have no idea why someone is experiencing a season of sorrow. Every story sounds true until we hear the other side (Proverbs 18:17).
Be careful not to judge the circumstances of others (Matthew 7:1-2). We may have no idea what the Lord is doing in the life of another (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Why do we wait to take a leap of faith?
There are many things God places within our hearts (and tells us to do), yet we won’t move out on it. We sit, stand, and hide in silence unwilling to step out on what God has called us to because of fear. Under the banner of fear, we don’t step out because of:
1. Fear of the Unknown. The unknown is that…unknown. The hows, whys, whens, etc. Many times these questions are not answered until your first few steps of faith are taken.
2. Fear of Failure. What if I don’t succeed? I’ll look foolish in front of others, lose money, time, etc. But if God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:9-11), how can you fail?
3. Fear of Being Alone. You don’t want to move until others come along side of you.
Many people want to live a better life. They can visualize themselves as a loving parent, a faithful friend, and committed to serving the Lord with all their heart. However, what they see in reality is far from what they imagine in their mind.
What’s going wrong?! How can I get my life on the right track?!
There may be a number of things you must specifically accomplish to live the life the Lord desires for you to live. However, they cannot begin without a new way of thinking.
